I have heard that some toothbrushes are unsafe for porcelain veneers. As I understand it the vibrating may cause damage with the bonding? I use a sonic toothbrush. Do I need to be concerned about this or change to an electric toothbrush without the sonic technology?

You should not be concerned about using the sonic toothbrush. The bonding technology that bonds the porcelain veneers to your tooth will remain unaffected. I’m not sure where you gathered this information but there has been a study at the University of Missouri where the sonic toothbrush was tested. It was published in 1998 and showed that there was no weakening in the bond that holds the veneers in place.
The sonic technology is safe and is a great tool to remove plaque and in keeping your teeth healthy.
